What is the Easterseals NH Military & Veterans Campus?

The Campus, located on 15 scenic acres in Franklin, NH, is the first of its kind in the state. Developed by PROCON, it provides enhanced support to service members, Veterans, and their families with a wide array of services, housing, and recreation in one centralized location.

When will the Campus be open for housing and services?

The Campus is expected to open in Summer 2025. You can stay informed by signing up for updates.

Eligibility & Services

Who can access services and activities at the Campus?

All service members, Veterans, and their families are welcome. Specific eligibility depends on the provider of each service or activity.

Do I have to live on the Campus to use the services?

No. Services are open to eligible individuals regardless of where they live.

What services will be offered in the hub?

Services may include:

  • Connection to NH Department of Military and Veterans Services (DMAVS)
  • Clinical mental health and counseling
  • Care coordination
  • VA benefits and claims support
  • Housing and employment referrals

The Bernadine Herron Center

What is The Bernadine Herron Center?

The Bernadine Herron Center is a state-of-the-art venue within the Military & Veterans Campus offering lodging, conference facilities, and event spaces for military groups, nonprofits, and the public.

What is the capacity of the Center?

Conference Room (1,500 sq ft): up to 150 people

Function Hall (1,150 sq ft): up to 110 people

Hotel Rooms: 22 boutique-style rooms, accommodating 1–4 guests per room

Additional spaces:

  • The Hub: up to 60 people
  • The Work Space: up to 70 people
  • The Conference Space: up to 200 people
  • Outdoor areas: Available for special events and gatherings
Are Hotel Rooms and the Center ADA compliant?

Yes. The majority of rooms and facilities are ADA compliant.

Are there spaces for confidential or private meetings?

Yes. Three enclosed offices are co-located with the hub area for private meetings.

Can I book The Bernadine Herron Center for a corporate retreat?

Absolutely. The Bernadine Herron Center features breakout rooms, flexible AV, and is ideal for workshops, trainings, and networking events. Explore corporate event options here.

Can I host a celebration of life or memorial service?

Yes. The serene setting is ideal for remembrance events. Veterans receive a 10% discount on venue and lodging. Learn more here.

Will the venue host weddings?

Starting in 2027, the Center will be available as a wedding venue with onsite lodging for guests. Start planning here.

Is catering available?

Yes, we offer a range of customizable catering options for dietary needs and budgets.

Can alcohol be served?

Yes, through approved catering partners. Lodging guests may bring their own alcohol.

Can pets stay at the Center?

Only registered service animals are allowed.

Is Cooking Allowed in the Hotel Rooms?

Some hotel rooms have kitchenettes with 2 burner stovetops.

Housing

What kind of housing is available on Campus?

There are 29 permanent housing units, including five two-bedroom units, most of which are ADA compliant.

What amenities are included?

Each unit includes:

  • Refrigerator, dishwasher, range, oven, and microwave
  • Electricity, heat, and hot water
Is parking included?

Yes.

Who is eligible for housing?

15 units are for Veterans eligible under the VASH voucher program (VA eligibility info)

15 units are supported by the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program and are based on household income

When and how can I apply for housing?

Applications will open in Fall/Winter 2024 on the Easterseals NH website.

Transportation

Is public transportation available to the Campus?

The Concord-Laconia Connector route stops nearby at Franklin Industrial Park. Easterseals NH is working with local transportation partners to establish a closer stop.

    • Take I-93 North towards Franklin, NH.
    • Exit onto US-3 North and follow signs for Franklin.
    • Turn onto Holy Cross Rd; the destination will be on your left.

    • Use I-93 South heading towards Franklin, NH.
    • Merge onto US-3 South and follow directions to Franklin.

  • Eastbound:
    • Drive west on NH-11 towards Franklin, NH.
