On October 29, Governor Kelly Ayotte and the Executive Council visited the Easterseals NH Military & Veterans Campus for a breakfast and Executive Council meeting.

During the visit, Maureen Beauregard, President & CEO of Easterseals NH & VT, shared the history and mission of the campus, highlighting how it came to fruition. They also engaged in meaningful dialogue about how the State can further support New Hampshire’s military and veteran community.

While the opening of Phase I of the Easterseals NH Military & Veterans Campus marks a major milestone for the state, the need continues to grow, particularly with the increasing waitlist for housing.

In phase II, the campus will feature the Swim With A Mission Aquatic Center, the Solinsky Equine & Recreation Center, the Solinsky Empowerment Center, and the Warner Mazda Challenge Course.

“Phase II will emphasize wellness programs designed to support residents living with PTSD, depression, and substance use challenges,” said Maureen Beauregard.

Following the discussion, the group toured the facility, including ES Veterans Association and Eversource Hub of Services, a dedicated space where Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs) can conduct outreach and provide support. The Department of Military Affairs and Veterans Services was present at the Hub of Services, actively working on outreach efforts.

Meetings like this are vital in drawing attention to the ongoing needs of New Hampshire’s military and Veteran community, while also building momentum for future support and collaboration.
